The lake is at its most beautiful before sundown: Quiet and peaceful, the lake nestles in a gently undulating hilly landscape only 10 minutes away from the village center. Just right for a short romantic stroll.

An easy trail (stroller accessible) leads around the lake, where you will pass fishers and BBQ areas. You can rent a boat if you feel like having a row on the lake or, if you don't mind cold water, take a refreshing dip in the lake. The boat hire station is open daily from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. from mid-June until mid-October (weather permitting).
"Petri-Heil", the traditional fisher's greeting, is often heard on the waters of Bettmersee. You too can fish in this beautiful mountain lake between mid-June and mid-October.
There's also a jetty, providing an inviting place to stock up on some sunshine. The area around the lake offers a paddling pool for kids and a beach volleyball court where sports fans can let off steam.

By the way: the lake festival takes place every summer (last weekend in July). This is a fun event with music, food and games.
