The artificial ice rink in the idyllic mountain village of Prato Sornico is a meeting point for locals and visitors interested in enjoying ice hockey and ice skating winter sports.

The charming Centro Sportivo Lavizzara in Prato Sornico reopened in 2012. The rather secluded ice rink is very popular among locals as well as visitors. It includes five modern cloakrooms, stands and a large snack bar with a glass window facade through which to watch the action on the ice. The semi-open hall made of wood is a regular meeting place for the Club Vallemaggia ice hockey club and the Artistica Vallemaggia figure skating school.
