On June 20 and 21, the Pontonierwiese in Aarau will once again be transformed into a vibrant meeting place for young culture. The Variaktion youth culture festival will once again offer a varied open-air experience in 2025 - free of charge and open to all.

Saturday afternoon belongs to the youngest: we start the day with the bubble program "Bubblezone" to watch and join in. Followed by the humorous children's program "Voilà la Jeanine !" which is presented in collaboration with the cirqu' Festival. Afterwards, school bands from the region will showcase their skills, followed by a performance by the dance crew "Roundabout", before the evening program starts. Throughout the day, visitors can also play on a giant 105-metre-long bowling alley and purchase delicious syrup from the syrup bar. On Saturday evening, as on Friday, four bands will take to the stage. The evening will be opened by Aargau newcomer "Mavi", followed by "Barany", before the indie-pop band "Fräulein Luise" gets the Variaktion singing and dancing along. The crowning open-air finale is provided by "Serpentin" with their indie-electro sound. If you still feel like dancing afterwards, you can continue partying into the early hours at the afterparty in the Flösserplatz youth culture center.
